I love to travel with my husband and so far we’ve spent time together in faraway places like Lihue and Amsterdam—and sometimes we stay closer to home and go camping in the Shenandoah or Chincoteague Island. Time at APHSA: I arrived at APHSA in October 2014. Life Before APHSA: I was an association meeting planner for landscape architects and engineers. Before that, I worked as a news reporter for KLAS-TV in Las Vegas, Nevada. Priorities at APHSA: The conference team aims to bring fresh energy to the conferences and meetings depart- ment. Our goal is to be strategic about the places we hold our meetings and execute them with the association mem- bership in mind. What I Can Do for Our Members: Listen and be a great communicator

Through our Innovation Center, we continue to scan for scientific advances, emerging business and practice models, and cutting-edge ideas that hold promise for transforming the sector. In 2015, we will take a further look at behavioral economics and its relevance to human service delivery. Our center is also exploring the links among executive functioning leader- ship development and resiliency theory. Transformation requires imagina- tion, planning, action, discipline and fortitude. It is a marathon, not a sprint. With and through our members, we are committed to crossing that finish line with you. Reference Notes 1. Our focus areas include how to help modernize the current workforce to be equipped to function effectively within a technology and data-driven environ- ment and how to support agencies to adopt business process reengineering practices designed to match agency resources and infrastructure with evolving organizational priorities resulting from integrative and inno- vative approaches. Our OE team and tools help agencies undertake a sound assessment of their agency’s integration readiness—by ensuring that leadership, governance, workforce, and aspects of change readiness are included within the overall strategic vision and tactical implementation approaches. At the heart of Pathways is a desire to make systematic and broad-scale demonstrations and adoption of inno- vations the norm in health and human services.
