ver the years, I’ve seen, again and again, how nonmedical factors—known as social determinants of health (SDOH)—have an outsized impact on health outcomes. These include education, working conditions, food and housing insecurity, and access to affordable, quality health care. Addressing social determinants is the key to improving health and reducing long-term health inequities.
