Name: Lynnea Kaufman Title: Associate Director of the National Electronic Interstate Compact Enterprise (NEICE) Time at APHSA: 9 months Priorities at APHSA: As the Associate Director for the NEICE project, I assist with onboarding new users of NEICE, and current states using NEICE with onboarding, support, and training. Life Before APHSA: Prior to joining APHSA, I served the State of Kansas with the Department for Children and Families (DCF) for 33 years. I began my career as a child protective services (CPS) social worker for 17 years. I worked in data, performance improvement, and was a social work supervisor before joining the Kansas DCF administra tion in 2008. In administration I served as the Assessment and Prevention programmanager with the role of writing child welfare policy and providing support to the CPS program across Kansas. I then served as the Assessment and Prevention Administrator and Interstate Compact for
the Placement of Children (ICPC) Compact Administrator supervising Kansas ICPC Coordinators. During this time I was involved with the Kansas onboarding of NEICE. I was involved with managing grants, training, assisting statewide staff with implementing new initiatives, and developing policy and procedures to support child welfare best practice. When Not Working: I am a mom of two wonderful boys, ages 33 and 15. My adult son is married to a wonderful daughter-in-law. I am a caregiver to my mom who is 92 and lives on her own across the street from us. My family loves camping, biking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors. I also enjoy cooking and reading.
