INTERESTING ST. MARY’S LACROSSE VARSITY COACHING STAFF FACTS

• Head Coach Victor Lilly is a member of the St Mary’s Hall of Fame and a Distinguished Alumni award winner. Before taking over as head coach he had been a member of the coaching staff at St. Mary’s since 2003 which includes 11 MIAA playoff games, 3 MIAA Semi-Final appearances and one MIAA Championship. The 11 playoff appearances are more than both of the other two county MIAA Conference schools combined.

• 7 Varsity coaches are St. Mary’s Alumni

• St. Mary’s Varsity coaches captained their teams at University of Maryland, Loyola University, Penn State and Johns Hopkins

• Coach JP Dalton was awarded the Joe Boylan Award for Leadership and Inspiration as the captain of Loyola University’s first ever National Championship team in 2012.

• Coach Jim Moorhead won a NCAA National Championship, an MSA Championship and a MIAA Championship and is a member of the Maryland State Lacrosse Coaches Hall of Fame, the Anne Arundel County Sports Hall of Fame and the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame

• Coach Brian Burlace is one of only two Anne Arundel County players to win The William C. Schmeisser Award given annually to the NCAA’s most outstanding defenseman in men’s college lacrosse.
