Jamie, Under the clouds of your darkest hour and amid America’s darkest days, you brought an inspirational light to the world. You stood up for accountability and decency using education, law, facts, humor, and common sense to force America to account for the wrong done to its principles and people. You have gone from teaching constitutional history to making constitutional history in the same inspirational but humble way that makes everyone who knows you proud of that connection. When you stood up and spoke truth to power, you had the backing of millions of American citizens still clinging to the belief that righteousness will win out against those willing to lie for power. You renewed our faith. You taught. You represented your family, your WCL friends, your constituents, and all of us in a way that will be remembered for generations to come.
