For years serious big game fishermen have known the shapes of AFTCO roller guides and tops to be distinctive, and that those shapes represent AFTCO. This fact is also recognized by the United States Patent and Trademark Office, which has granted AFTCO the exclusive trademark rights to the AFTCO roller guide and roller top shapes. What this means for anglers is that a roller guide or top that looks like an AFTCO will be an AFTCO and not a copy. AFTCO has and will continue to remove from the U.S. marketplace rods that use roller guides or roller tops made of a shape that violates the AFTCO trademark registrations. When necessary, we will receive help from U.S. Customs and the courts to remove such rods.

Great Fishing Always Starts at ICAST In response to the global COVID-19 pandemic, the American Sportfishing Association’s (ASA) board of directors made the difficult decision to transition the Orlando-based, in-person ICAST Show to a virtual show. We committed ourselves to delivering attendees and exhibitors alike an engaging, interactive all-new virtual trade show experience we call ICAST 2020 Online, presented by TakeMeFishing.org. Whether in-person or online, ICAST is the venue for showcasing recreational fishing related products. With ICASTfishing.org as your portal, you’ll find that ICAST 2020 Online is full of opportunities to unite our industry and network with exhibitors, retailers, media and related associates and be in-the-knowwithwhat’s going on in recreational fishing. This year, we have an enhanced State of the IndustryWelcome withmessages fromSecretary of the Interior David Bernhardt, Secretary of CommerceWilbur Ross and U.S. Representative BrianMast of Florida. We also expanded our seminar series to include both business development topics and a conservation seminar series that focuses on themost pressing policy issues that impact the recreational fishing industry. As an added bonus, all the featured speakers and seminars are in video format which are available at ICASTfishing.org through the end of December.

The American Association is Your ICAST Host BUT WE DO SO MUCH MORE THAN PRODUCE ICAST We’re the only national group speaking on behalf of the entire industry. We unite an industry who wants to see more
