24 Kaitlyn Panebianco - Attack As an attacker for the Saints, Kaitlyn has been a key part of the Saints offense since her freshman year on varsity. During the summers, Kaitlyn played lacrosse for Maryland United Lacrosse Club. In addition to her accomplishments on the lacrosse field, Kaitlyn also played four years of field hockey for the Saints. A dedicated student athlete who maintains a 3.9 GPA, Kaitlyn is an Honor Roll student and member of the National Honor Society. She has also been an active part of the St. Mary’s school and parish community, participating in the Art Club, the Breakfast Club, CHAMPS Club, and the Hope for Healing Club. She is the recipient of the Blessed Seelos Award and the Blessed Mary Award. Kaitlyn’s accomplishments on
the lacrosse field and in the classroom have earned her an athletic and academic scholarship at George Washington University where she will play lacrosse next year. Kaitlyn has been a four year starter for the Saints. We look to her to be an offensive threat while helping to maintain our cohesive offense. She has strong dodges that put her in a place to finish with her great shot. Next year Kaitlyn will play at George Washington University. Good luck, Kaitlyn! - St. Mary’s Girls Lacrosse
25 Jo Torres - Goalie As goalie for the Saints, Jolees “Jo” Torres has been a critical part of the Saint’s defense since transferring to St. Mary’s her junior year, and is one of our four captains this season. She previously played lacrosse for the Calverton School. Her performance on the lacrosse field has earned her numerous awards and honors including Capital Area Lacrosse League 1st TeamAll-League and 2ndTeamAll-Calvert County Lacrosse Team honors as a freshman and sophomore, and IAAM Athlete of the Week and 2nd Team All-Anne Arundel County Lacrosse Team during her junior campaign. Her standout play earned her a selection to the Under Armour All America Underclass team in 2017 for the Washington D.C. region and in 2019 for
the championship-winning Baltimore Highlight team. Additionally, Jo was selected for the Team Baltimore High School Girls U.S. Lacrosse All Star Team in 2018. During her summers, Jo played for Maryland United Lacrosse Club. Beyond lacrosse, Jo has excelled in other sports as well, playing varsity volleyball and basketball at Calverton School, and then joining the varsity volleyball and soccer teams at St. Mary’s. In addition to her athletic achievements, Jo is an accomplished student athlete, and is a dedicated member of her school and community. Her leadership and volunteer activities include the Student Athletes in Leadership (SAIL) program, the Science National Honor Society, and serving as a coach/member with the Special Olympics. She is also active as a coach youth lacrosse clinics and camps throughout the local area. Jo will play lacrosse for the United States Naval Academy next year.
Jo has been the anchor of our defense for the past two seasons. She dominates the cage and makes big saves at critical moments. Jo is a leader, and we look to her to hold down the defensive end.
