12 Rosie Davis - Attack Playing attack for the Saints, Rosie has been a part of the Girls’Lacrosse program for all four years of her high school career, playing on varsity since she was a sophomore. During the summers, Rosie played for the Maryland United Lacrosse Club. Rosie’s athletic accomplishments at St. Mary’s have earned her the distinction of being an Iron Saint. She has played a sport for every season of her high school career, and has been a part of the volleyball, soccer, cross country, and indoor track teams. Rosie currently holds the school indoor track record for the 300m dash. In addition to her commitment to athletics, Rosie is an active member of the St. Mary’s school and community. She is an Honor Roll student, a Kairos leader, and is the Vice President of Model UN. Rosie is also a talented musician and performer, playing percussion in the school band and playing a role in the St. Mary’s spring musical! Rosie will play lacrosse at Arizona State University next year, and has received academic and athletic scholarships for her achievements. Rosie is a speedy midfielder that has the ability to push the ball in transition. She dodges hard to the goal and has moves that are hard to stop. 13 Alexis Tackney - Defense Playing defense for the Saints, Alexis has been a part of the Saints lacrosse program for all four years of her high school career, playing on varsity since her junior year. During the summers, Alexis played lacrosse for the East Coast Select lacrosse club. In addition to her accomplishments on the lacrosse field, Alexis’ dedication to athletics has earned her the distinction of being an Iron Saint, having played a sport for every season of her high school career. Alexis played four years of field hockey for the Saints, two years of basketball, and two years of indoor track. She was also a member of Storm Chasers Field Hockey Club and the USA Futures Field Hockey Program. Alexis has excelled in the classroom as well, being recognized as an Honor Roll
student, a Neumann Scholar, a member of National Honor Society, and maintaining a 3.98 GPA. Her contributions to the St. Mary’s community include her work on COSA, the Ambassador Club, the Lemonade Club, and Hope for Healing Club. She has volunteered numerous hours to community organizations including serving as a coach for SMA field hockey, SMES basketball and lacrosse teams, and the Sherwood Forest tennis and swim teams. She has also volunteered with the Sherwood Forest Archives Committee, the Harlem lacrosse team, and Sherwood Forest Summer Camp. Alexis’ achievements have earned her an academic scholarship to Washington College (her Mom’s alma mater!), where she will play lacrosse and field hockey next year.
Alexis is a strong defender who never gives up. Alexis makes aggressive plays and never lets up on the defensive end, keeping the opposing team on their toes. Alexis will play field hockey and lacrosse next year at Washington College. Good luck, Alexis! - St. Mary’s Girls Lacrosse
